I sincerely believe that it is far more beneficial and far less costly to help a child build confidence than it is to fix an adult who has little or none.


Positive affirmations can “re-wire” your brain and give you a feeling of happiness, the power that can help you deal with the challenges you face each and every day.

When you get up in the morning, think about your favourite affirmations and say them out loud if possible to help you start your day in a positive way.  Repeat them several times during the day to help reinforce them.

Here are some suggestions.  Try to think of some and add to these.

  • I am content with what I have
  • I am a kind person
  • I am a good friend
  • I feel great today
  • When I look in the mirror, I see a terrific person
  • I’m going to do something nice today
  • I feel blessed
  • I enjoy my life
  • I feel my strength
  • I will have a positive attitude today
  • I am creative
  • I have unique gifts and talents
  • I will not be afraid
  • I will always try my best to be the person I was created to be
  • I have a great personality
  • I am very generous
  • I will love everyone, including my enemies
  • I will make good choices
  • I am in control of my life
  • I will forgive people who have hurt me
