I sincerely believe that it is far more beneficial and far less costly to help a child build confidence than it is to fix an adult who has little or none.

Merry Christmas!

mouse and snowflakesHave a Blessed Christmas and Best Wishes for the New Year!

Hoping to get back on track with my blogging soon now that our home renovations are coming to an end and we will soon be moved into our new home.  I’ve thought of a lot of ideas but haven’t had any time to write them down.  I’ve also missed reading the blogs I follow, only having time to skim through quickly or sometimes miss them completely.   There sure aren’t enough hours in the day right now!  Glad life isn’t always so busy!

This isn’t our first move but certainly the most difficult.  I’ve come to some valuable conclusions:

  • don’t move just before Christmas unless it is absolutely necessary
  • don’t move just before Christmas into a house that requires a substantial amount of work to be done
  • don’t attempt to move just before Christmas when you are getting into your senior years

Looking forward to spending tomorrow with the family and enjoying a wonderful dinner.  It will be great to just sit and do nothing!  Of course, this is because we aren’t having our Christmas celebration in our new house and I won’t have to look at the unfinished mess.  Maybe next year I’ll be the host!

The best of all gifts around any Christmas tree: the presence of a happy family all wrapped up in each other. ~Burton Hillis
