I sincerely believe that it is far more beneficial and far less costly to help a child build confidence than it is to fix an adult who has little or none.

Oh pooh!

Most people know Winnie-the-Pooh or Pooh Bear.  This adorable little bear was created by author A.A. Milne for a collection of stories written in 1926 called Winnie-the-Pooh.   These stories quickly became favourites of children worldwide after being translated into many different languages including Latin.

Milne’s young son, Christopher Robin Milne,  often visited the London Zoo with his father where he saw a Canadian black bear named Winnie.   He decided to name his favourite toy, a teddy bear, after the bear.  Then while on a holiday, he met a beautiful swan named Pooh, so he added it to Winnie and this was the beginning of Winnie-the-Pooh.

Pooh is a loveable character that is loved by children and adults everywhere.  In his stories, you can find all sorts of life lessons about kindness and being a friend to others.    He teaches us to love life and indulge in the things you love.  Oh pooh!!!
