I sincerely believe that it is far more beneficial and far less costly to help a child build confidence than it is to fix an adult who has little or none.

Our problems are not really problems

on December 28, 2013

BOY THINKINGIs there anyone in the world who doesn’t have problems?  Of course not.  Problems happen to everyone, good or bad.  They are an inevitable part of life and we can’t do anything to stop problems from happening.

However, the problem is not usually the issue.  It is how we handle the problem that is the issue.  If we have a positive attitude, we can deal with almost any situation and make necessary changes so our lives will be better.  If we have a negative attitude, we won’t be able to deal with the situation and we will likely just complain and be miserable which won’t help us at all.

Problems are wake up calls, telling us that there is something that needs changing in our life.  When we have a problem, we also have a choice as to what we will do.   This is where our attitude comes in.   Will we deal with the situation with a positive or negative attitude?

Eldridge Cleaver once quoted, “You’re either part of the solution or you’re part of the problem”.  Problems will never disappear from your life so why not deal with them in an effective way by having a positive attitude and be part of the solution!
