imconfident

I sincerely believe that it is far more beneficial and far less costly to help a child build confidence than it is to fix an adult who has little or none.

And so this is Christmas…..

In 1971, John Lennon and Yoko Ono recorded a beautiful song which has been played over and over again for over 40 years.  The words are simple but very powerful and they ask a question that we should all think about…..what have you done?   I ask myself this question sometimes and wonder what I have done to help change the world.   When was the last time that I did something nice?   It doesn’t always take a big thing to make a difference in someone else’s life – just a smile, a few kind words, a hug…..

Merry Christmas and Peace be with you!!

So, this is Christmas and  what have you done?
Another  year over and a new one just begun
And so this is Christmas,  I hope you have fun
The near and the  dear one, the old and the  young
A very merry  Christmas and a happy New Year
Let’s hope it’s a good one, without any fear
And so this is Christmas, for weak and for strong
For rich and the poor ones, the  world is so wrong
And so happy  Christmas, for black and for  white
For yellow and red ones, let’s stop all the  fight
A very merry  Christmas and a happy New Year
Let’s hope it’s a good one, without any fear
And so this is Christmas and what have we done
Another year over and a new one just begun
And so this is Christmas, I hope you have fun
The  near and the dear one, The old and  the young
A very merry  Christmas and a happy New Year
Let’s hope it’s a good one, Without any fear
War is over, if you want it, War is over now
